I recently relocated to Hanoi for work, and bought a home here - this city is now my home, and could very much use friends to discover this wonderful place. Me When Adulting: Successful entrepreneur and CEO (formerly a senior manager at Apple, and worked in publishing in New York). I'm passionate, outgoing, from a warm and loving family, honest, self-driven, and naturally supportive. Happy, and genuinely interested in helping others; I love the idea of finding someone to maybe volunteer with. When I'm Not Adulting: Reading (Scifi, Fantasy, Biography, Business, Psychology, and relationship books). Movies, music is amazing. Music is a big part of my life. Goofy and silly (at times). Serious when needed. Will still build (and defend) a pillow fort with you. Cupcakes make me happy, but finding someone to bake cupcakes with would be even better. I'm a fan of curiosity in others, honesty, independence, intelligence, pets (though I haven't had one since my dog Delilah passed away years ago). I recently decided to learn to draw, and enjoy art that resonates with what I'm looking for in life. Storytelling, movies, musicals, dancing, video games and travel. I'm a romantic, but practical in the details in life; I protect the people I care about and would like to think that means a lot. My parents have been happily married for 50 years, and I hope to find what they have, someday. They still fall asleep holding hands, and make each other laugh every day. I've decided to make this profile cheesily specific, hoping that out there somewhere is someone that will read this and think, "Ah, yes, I'd love those things, too. That's me." I grew up going to coffee shops with my family and sitting around in happy silence all doing our own things. Reading, drawing, research. I've always thought it would be really nice to find someone that would want to "nerd out" with me this same way, and feel comfortable joining the family doing that when on holidays.

I've lived in Vietnam for about 20 months in total, I love it there, and I want to move to VN from the USA. However, I had to come back to the USA because 2 members of my family have serious health concerns. I plan to return to Vietnam long-term, but I'm not sure exactly when. I will plan on checking this site briefly about once a month in case someone special shows interest. For now I'm not going to pay for the service, until someone I'm interested in finds me. If you have a detailed profile that gets my heart excited, then I will pay for the premium membership and contact you. I don't want to deactivate my account because I know i will be back to Hanoi, and it seems this site has a lot of potential. I hope this makes sense. I'm a thoughtful, intelligent, adventurous, happy, fun-loving guy, and I always try to treat others the way they want to be treated. I'm very curious about the world, so I read often, travel frequently, and I'm always learning. I appreciate open communication and i realized a long time ago -- I learn more listening than I do talking. I also really enjoy teaching and being helpful. I will do anything active and love to play sports of all sorts including: tennis, badminton, table tennis, golf, cycling, volleyball, basketball, and yoga. I've traveled around North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia, and I've worked as a tour leader and an English teacher in multiple countries. Vietnam is my favorite place! I’ve lived here 18 months, and traveled to more than 20 cities/areas, but the people of Hanoi make me want to call this place home. Now that I'm an independent English teacher here, I set my own schedule, and life is great! I’ve been loving life in Vietnam so much I’m considering selling my home in the USA and moving here -- perhaps permanently if I meet the right woman!
