I’m originally from Ireland but have been living in Ho Chi Minh City for the past 6 years. I came here for a change and ended up building a life I really enjoy. I work as an English teacher, and one of my favourite parts of the job is seeing students grow in confidence over time. Outside of work, I like keeping things simple. I enjoy good coffee, exploring different cafes around the city, cooking when I can, and unwinding with music or sports. I’m also into reading, especially poetry, though I’ll admit my attention span sometimes fights me on that. I’d describe myself as easygoing, thoughtful, and a bit sarcastic once I’m comfortable. I don’t take life too seriously, but I do value honesty, consistency, and people who are genuine. I’ve been in Vietnam long enough to appreciate the culture (and the food), and I’m still trying to improve my Vietnamese, slowly but surely. I’m looking to meet someone who is kind, relaxed, and knows how to enjoy the small things in life. Someone who can have a good conversation, laugh easily, and doesn’t play games. Whether it starts as a coffee and a chat or turns into something more, I’m open to seeing where things go.
