Very outgoing and athletic. Looking to retire from the U.S. Navy Reserves. Just came back from Iraq serving as a combat medic with the U.S. Marines and discovered that my wife of 18 years had an affair while I was in Iraq. I tried to save our marriage but she didn't want to. I have two boys who are 18 and 19 years old. They both speak fluent vietnamese. My ex- wife was vietnamese and came here after the fall of Saigon.

I am a retired engineer living on 80 acres of wooded land bordering the Sac River in the State of Missouri, USA. I live pretty much as a hermit with my dog Lady in a one room cabin a mile or so from my nearest neighbor. I like to tell people that my drive way is a mile long. Without the one room cabin part it makes sound like am Bill Gates rich. My last job was for the California Dept. of Health Services in San Diego. I am kind of fat, but not nearly as fat as I was a year ago. This week I weighed in 105 pounds less than when I started my diet. I still have 70 pounds more to go to reach my target weight of 175 which is what I weighed 40 years ago when I was a Marine serving in Viet Nam. I am not a very attractive person. About 25 years ago I was in a serious fire and have burn scars on my face and hands. I do not look as bad as most burn victims, but none of us look very good. Under that blue hat there is no hair. It all got burned off in the fire. I do not hunt my land (reminds me too much of things that happened in Viet Nam) and I try and take a live and let live approach with the local wild life. I like to invent things, but nobody seems to think much of my ideas. Eventually many of my ideas have shown up in the market place. I think I need to study up on patent laws. I have an interest in biomass fuels, wood chips, plant stalks and the like. There is a lot of stuff like that around these parts. Many of my ideas apply mostly to third world countries, no money, but good brownie points with God maybe. Take my word for it, a guy like me could use a few brownie points with God. I like to take pictures of birds and have found that one out of every thousand or so comes out pretty good. Digital cameras are great. I bought this place because of what I thought was it's great natural beauty. Sometimes I write short stories as a hobby. Most people think I have some talent but they also think most of my ideas are too extreme and unrealistic. For awhile I tutored younger students in chemistry and engineering. I had great success with a young girl from the Philippines. That was a lot of fun. My income is modest, but I can afford just about every thing that I want in the USA and I think my retirement income would go a long way in many Asian countries.

I have fun indoors or outdoors. I have a few hobbies and they all involve technical skill. My job is controls and automation. I have great patience with all things truthful. No patience for lies. And I will be in Saigon in April!
